Augusto Grillo offers a new exclusive service of Traveling Seminar by boat.

Learning from history and culture by travelling. Getting new stimulus from beautiful “paesaggi” and from the rich historical heritage of the Mediterranean sea.

On board of “Ea”, a comfortable motor boat of 66 feet, Designers and Decision Making People have the possibility to get new inspirations by the guided excursions of  the Traveling Seminars.

*. JVC compact speaker system for digital audio player

We are pleased to notify officially the choice and the winner’s ranking determined by JVC’s people responsible.

1° “Extend Sound”, design by Giorgio Giallombardo, owes his peculiarity to the small cylindrical speakers characterized by a nice lock, “pinched” along the length. The speakers are extractable and can be placed at will. They make the object  dynamic, as regard the usage, and well worked out from an aesthetic point of view. The circumference of their lodging, that is outlined by led lights, add a decent organic taste to the restrained and clean case’s design. The attention to the details, which was the main component of the project, and the instruction of the three declination of speakers’ dressing and color has been fulfilled.

2°In “Still Life Music”, design by Davide Montanaro, has won the originality that merge the technological tool into the domestic ones through a twisting. An innovative and estranging suggestion that deals with the enjoyment of music as other more strengthened habits. 

3°”Cube”, design by Francesco Castiglione Morelli, thanks to his formal directness, introduces a wide sound diffusion taking advantage of three of its faces. It has been widely appreciated for the compactness, which was extolled by the integrated handle, that makes it handy for transportation and that suggests large movement’s liberty.  

The official award ceremony will take place on the 19th March, h 6:00 p.m., at “Il Cubo”, via Piero della Francesca, Milan. Everybody is invited!

*. Bombay Sapphire Design Glass Competition – Italia

   8° Edition – 2009

On April 29th, the jury met and evaluated the projects received. The 25 most interesting projects will be published on-line in occasion of the “People’s Prize” from the 10th May to the 10th June on the website: www.bombaysapphire.com

The jury also decreed the 3 projects who win, whose names will be made know during the occasion of the Italian award which will take place in Milan, at the Terrazza Martini, in date to be confirmed, expected by the 20th July 2009.
