rules

- Registrations are accepted starting from 15th October 2007 and until 8th January 2008, only if received through the aedo-to.com website page throughout the compilation of a PERSONAL DATABASE FORM and the subscription to an appropriate PARTICIPATION PROPOSAL.

In the personal data form it must be also indicated the personal codes (login and password) to be used for the uploading of corresponding project.

- The owners of the aedo-to.com codes are asked to use those already acquired (choose registration path 1) and, in case of forgetfulness or misguide, to re-ask for them via e-mail (redazione@aedo-to.com) before the activation of new ones.

- To complete the registration, it is necessary to carry out the downloading operation of the BRIEF as indicated in the on-line method. Only this operation notifies the correct subscription/registration.

- the competition is open to all with no differentiation of sexe, age and nationality.

- Individual or group subscription (the group must register just one time and be represented by just one person, whether legal or financial).

- each project must be original, and should never been published earlier and should not damage the property rights on original works or on any indutrial invention, and should be industrially reproduced.

- the preselected designer must be available, with no additional fees from the behalf of the company, to restructure the project in case of technical modifications necessary for the realization of the prototypes or for security purposes in respect to the norms.

- the projects, to enter the competition, must be sent exclusively on line by uploading them (using the appropriate login and passwords) in the web page “Inviaci il materiale” ("Send us the material") in the Workshop section of aedo-to.com website before and not after 12:00 a.m. (Italian time) of 15th January, 2008.

- the files of the project should respect the following requisites:
*the images should be in format .jpg and should be in even mesures of 640 (base) x 480 (height) in pixel, with a definition of 72 dpi, RGB.
*should be minimum 2 and maximum 6.
- Each contestant can send, with a unique uploading, up to two design propositions, but it is not possible to exceed the limit of 6 images in total.
- Each project should come with a short written description (max. 1500 slaps) to be inserted in the previewed form for the upload. The official languages are: the Italian and the English.
- On the tables of the project, the title of the project and the name of the author should be indicated. Legends can also be inserted.

- In case the project is selected, the designer, notified via email, to have the right to access the prize, is aked to reply to this communication up to 10 days after the sending, otherwise he will be excluded from the classification. Aedo-to.com will hold as only valid reference the e-mail address inserted in the personal database form filled during the registration (possible variations should be notified, specifying name and surname, to: redazione@aedo-to.com). It is therefore important to make sure that the filled-in information is complete, and valid for at least 6 successive months, and with no typing errors.

- The chosen designer for the eventual publication will successively be held to send by email or by post with Cd-rom, in the terms required in the moment of the communication, the high resolution version [2290 (width) x 1720 (height) in pixels of 300 dpi in CMYk] of the same images previously sent in a low resolution.
- The non respect of one or more clause of the present regulation will lead to the inadmission to the International Design Competition On line or even to the exclusion.
- The names of the winners will be published in the section Project Gallery of aedo-to website.

- By accepting the prize the designer gives the right to dispose of his project to aedo-to or to a third party indicated by aedo-to.

- Once the winners are designated, the relation between chosen designers and the company is established through aedo-to.com, without any financial involvment for the concerned designers.

- In case where aedo-to, for the sake of the involved party, wishes to acquire the rights of use and economical and commercial exploitation relative to the non selected projects, the equivalent of such an acquisition/transfer is fixed from this day in the measure of 4.000 euros for each project (taxes and law deductions included).

- NB Rights of Citroën Automobiles

With the registration to the Contest the participant takes part and recognizes that the parts/ components of the vehicles that will be serving as the base to the work that they intend to design are protected from the effective legislation in terms of author's rights and industrial property, with an explicit reference to designs, models, brands, and in particular for as far as the Citroën brand is concerned, the figurative brand Double Chevron (that represents the Citroën logo) and the brands of the different models of the cars that will be appearing on the site.
Such elements, proected from the stated norms, are the property of the Citroën cars or eventual third parties authorized by the same to use them; any use is forbidden, under whichever form or modality (reproduction, adaptation, incorporation, translation, commercialisation, partial or integral, etc.) without the previous written authorisation of Citroën Automobiles, except the exceptions observed in the Code of industrial property (D. Lgs. n. 30/2005) (for example, private use and non commercial, scientific, didactic, informative, etc.), as long as the normal use of the design/ model does not hold prejudice, that it indicates the holder of the right of privative and as the use is conform to the professional conformity.
Eventual violations will be punished according to the effective laws , civil and penal.
